Book Creator ($) is one of our favorite apps. It allows students and teachers to author their own books with text, images,
audio, and video. The books can be exported as an ePub document and opened in iBooks. Book Creator Free
allows you to create one book for free. Though the full version of the app does cost $4.99, it can be purchased for half price
as part of the VPP program. (TTT)

Digital Storytelling
Though apps like Puppet Pals, Toontastic, and Morfo appear to have more entertainment value than educational value, these digital storytelling apps are a great way for kids to communicate their ideas in a very creative and engaging way.
Video Creation & Editing
After storyboarding and writing their script, students use PromptWare Plus to turn their iPad into a teleprompter, their camera to film their footage and iMovie to edit and produce their video.

Screencasting
While screencasting is a great way for teachers to provide on-demand instruction for students, screencasting is also a fabulous way for students to show what they know. All of these screencasting tools offer slightly different features. Explain Everything offers the most in terms of functionality, but is also the only paid app. It is well worth its $2.99 price and is part of the VPP program.
